Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy is a collection made for SWITCH, PS4 and etc. and it contains three games from a very popular fighting series. All titles were developed by a Japanese studio, CyberConnect2.
Plot
As the title suggests, the games are based on a hit manga called Naruto, by Masashi Kishimoto, but the developers also borrowed a lot from the animated adaptation of the comics. Just like the drawn, and animated versions, the games also take the player to the world that is a combination of feudal Japan, magical fantasy and modern technologies. One of the most significant roles in shaping the geopolitical situation belongs to villages that train ninja warriors, who can later be hired for money.
Each one of the games, that are a part of this trilogy, offers their own story campaign that presents next sections of the original story. This means that if a player plays them all in the chronological order they can participate in events known from the manga and anime.
Mechanics
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy, created for SWITCH, PS4 and etc., is a collection of three games: Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm (2008), Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (2010), and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (2013).
All three games in the collection share the same bases. This means that they are typical fighting games focused on duels. The games offer a big variety of characters and each one of them has their own fighting style and unique special attacks.
It should be mentioned that the first game in this collection, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, has an interesting Wall Running system, which allows characters to run on walls and use them in combat. Sadly, this mechanic is absent in the sequels.
Game Modes
All three games that are part of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy offer extensive story campaigns as well as multiplayer mode in which you can, locally or through the Internet, fight with other players.
