The gameplay offers a realistic feeling, but beginner players can make it easier for themselves by enabling various assists. There is also a brand new Arcade Experience option (the alternative is Pro Experience for more advanced users).

The game recreates the 2025 season of MotoGP competitions. Authentic motorcycles, teams, riders and race tracks are featured here. The list of the available tracks now also includes two new objects: Balaton Park in Hungary and Brno in the Czech Republic (the latter returned to the championship calendar after a several-year break).

Just like in previous installments, the foundation of the game is a single-player career mode, in which the competition takes place in three classes of machines: Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP. To advance to a higher category, we need to not only achieve success on the tracks, but also take care of relationships with our team and other players, as well as monitor the transfer market (looking for opportunities to move to a team that gives us better development prospects).

Additionally, motorcycles need to be gradually improved between races. The new Bike Development System helps with this, giving us more control over this process through conversations with engineers or meticulous tinkering with the settings of various machine parameters.

Another significant novelty in the career mode in MotoGP 25 is the addition of three training disciplines: Motard, Mini Bikes and Flat Track. We hone our skills and maintain our form by riding small motorcycles on gravel and asphalt. We participate in various challenges on four special routes in two locations.

Apart from various single-player game modes - which include career, quick races or time trials - in MotoGP 25 we can also have fun with other players, both locally (on a split screen) or via the Internet. This second variant includes things like new ranked races and a crossplay feature (not available in the Nintendo Switch version of the game).
