NBA 2K27 - All Basketball Nintendo Switch 2

The annual installment of the 2K basketball series with the full NBA and WNBA leagues. If you've played the previous installments, you know what to expect: a career with your own player, collecting cards in MyTEAM mode, an open area in The City, and online matches against other people.

Most modes only work with an internet connection, and online matches will require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

Important - the box contains a download code, not a card

This is a Code in a Box edition. Instead of a game card, you'll find a paper slip with a download code in the box. You enter the code in the Nintendo eShop and the game will be downloaded to your console.

What this means in practice:

• You will need internet and free space on your console — the game is large, you will likely need a microSD Express card .
• The code you use is tied to your Nintendo account, so you can't resell the game or lend it to a friend.
• Activate the code yourself — we include it unopened, so once the package is opened, returns are no longer possible.

MyCAREER - your player, your story

Create your own MyPLAYER and guide him through a story-driven career to become the greatest player of all time. Along the way, you'll be tested against not only current NBA teams, but also legends of the past.

You'll spend the most time here if you like to play alone. A player's rating is increased either by training and matches, or by VC — more on that below.

MyTEAM - assemble your top five

Collect NBA and WNBA star cards — both current and past — and build your own team. Test your lineup in new modes, both one-on-one against the computer and against other players online.

This year, the Auction House is common to all platforms, so Switch 2 players are trading cards in the same market as PS5 or Xbox — prices and supply are normal, not an empty market.

Animations are taken directly from real NBA games, so the on-court moves look exactly like what you see on the broadcast. Dribbling transitions, double-fake moves, improved shooting mechanics.

You'll probably spend the first few hours just getting used to the new timing - after that, it'll be fun.

The City - pitches and people

An open city where your MyPLAYER walks around: courts, The REC, Park, shops and crowds of other players. You can team up with friends in a Crew and play together. This year the city is at night, and the legendary Rucker Park returns between the courts.

This is why most people buy 2K — if you're playing with a group, you'll be sitting here the longest. The convenience of the Switch 2 is that the same game comes with the console.
